Maltipoos (aka Maltepoos, Malti-poos, and Maltidoodles) are a mix of a mini Poodle (or toy Poodle) and a purebred Maltese. MALTIPOO PERSONALITY
Maltese are known for being loving, gentle, and loyal. They are also very social and are well-known lap dogs, and that personality often comes over into the Maltipoo. Miniature Poodles are more energetic and outgoing. They are also loving and make great watchdogs. Miniature Poodles are ranked one of the healthiest breeds in the world, often living to be over 16 years of age, and ranked as the second most intelligent dog breed in the world.
With this combination, the Maltipoo have incredible personalities. They are loving, trusting, intelligent and dependent. They want to be with you and are not a breed that’s known for aggression. They are extremely good with children and are very patient. They seldom bark, and they love to cuddle.
MALTIPOO MAINTENANCE
Maintenance for a Maltipoo will depend on the dog's exact coat type. The Maltese tend to shed more than Poodles, so a Maltipoo will be either low to non-shedding depending on whether it inherited its coat from the Maltese or Poodle sides. For the most part, the Maltipoo will require weekly brushing to ensure the coat remains free from knots and snags. Their coats do tend to tangle rather easily. A Maltipoo with a Poodle coat may need to be brushed more frequently. In addition, the toenails of the Maltipoo will need to be filed or clipped regularly. Several times per year, the coat of the Maltipoo will need to be trimmed.
MALTIPOO COLORS
Brown’s Babies Maltipoo colors vary from litter to litter, with our most common colors being White to Cream, Apricot, Black, Black/white or White/Liver.
